Grace's 1st official gymnastics meet was in Grand Rapids. We traveled with Sara and Kara Robson, and had a total blast! We were fortunate enough to have the run of the entire house belonging to Ben and Becky. Grace and Kara quickly called the master bedroom, because the "had to get a good night's sleep and had lots to do to get ready in the morning." We ate dinner Friday night at a place called "The Electric Cheetah", which had me a little nervous. judging solely on the name. It was well worth the 45 minute wait, and being chase out of the Beauty House by a small Asian man for touching the African American wigs. Now there's a memory for you! Grace did absolutely amazing for being nervous at her first meet. Her scores were: Vault (8.650 ~ 4th place), Beam (8.450 ~ fell off and didn't place), Bars (8.600 ~ didn't stick landing but ended up in 8th place), Floor (8.925 ~ 5th place), Overall (34.625 ~ 7th place). She did AWESOME, and has so much to be proud of!
