It all started because he passed out (or in his words - took a nap) twice!! He got in to see a new doctor (thanks to Ed) and upon getting his EKG, they told him he needed to see a cardiologist right away. They were trying to get him in, but advised if they were not able to he needed to go to ER. This was Friday before CHRISTmas Eve. As they were waiting to hear about a cardiologist appointment, mom remembered that her cousin (Jenny) was the head of the ER at U of M. So she called her and the fun began. Jenny advised us that we should go to the ER Saturday morning, just after shift change. She said she would have everything ready and waiting for us - and boy did she!! It was the MOST pleasant ER trip. The result of that trip was that he needed a heart catherization, which could not be done until the following Tuesday at the earliest. Now, remember, today was Saturday and CHRISTmas Eve. So, dad decided against spending CHRISTmas in the hospital and went home to wait for a heart cath appt. Thankfully, because of Jenny, he was able to get an appointment on Wednesday morning. To be continued.....
