Easter this year was a traveling circus. Steve and the boys came down the week before Easter, as that was their spring break. It was tough coordinating the kids, as mine still had school and sports, but it worked out. They kids had a blast playing golf cart tag - especially since Grandpa got 2 more golf carts. Scott and Katie and kids came down Friday morning, and Krystel came Friday afternoon. We ended up having Easter dinner on Saturday afternoon and going to church after that, so that we could have Easter breakfast and baskets before everyone had to head back up north. And by everyone, I mean everyone. We were going up because my cousin Jon's 6 month old son, Noah, passed away and the funeral was Monday.Such a horrible experience for anyone to go through. I am more than thankful they have faith in God's plan - evern wehen it hurts - and are relying solely on Him to carry them through. We are continually lifting them all up. This is also coming on the heels of Jon just losing his cousin, Kari - see older posts. After we got back from the funeral, Steve was getting the boys ready for bed and school the next day, so I took my kids (less Jadyn who spent the WHOLE weekend with Ava) to the movies. We saw Furious 7 - which was an awesome movie, but ended up making me even more sad because I knew that Paul Walker ended up dying for real. Just a sad day all around. This morning we hopped in the van and drove home as fast as I could legally. Made it in 3 hours, 13 minutes. Traffic and weather were awesome.
